Many years ago, I took a trip to Cancun, Mexico.  On the advice of friends, I took the long trek out to the ancient Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza.

Multitudes of tourists have seen these incredible ruins, but I had an experience there that I doubt many others have ever had before me, or since.

In the afternoon heat, after climbing the sheer face of the pyramid you see above, I walked a short way into the jungle in order to have a look around.  Perhaps I walked a bit further than I should have, and I almost lost my way, in the dense foliage.  I took a few turns, trying to get my bearings.

I then witnessed something I was not supposed to see.  What I saw, was an incredibly old Indian, whose age was beyond reckoning, do something so startling, so amazing, that it stopped me in my tracks.  The ancient man saw me standing there, and knew that I had seen what he had done.  I was so frightened, I almost fainted dead away, yet, I maintained my composure, to his obvious admiration.

I begged the man to explain what he had just accomplished.  His English was sufficient for him to tell me he was sworn by an ancient oath to NEVER reveal his secret.  Yet, I was persuasive, aided by the wad of American greenbacks I pulled out of my wallet.  It might have been more money than this ancient Indian wizard had seen in the past year.  He was hard to sway, yet I HAD to know how he had done what I had seen.  I wasn't leaving without learning his secret.

The lure of the money was too much for this nearly starving, impoverished man.  After making ME swear never to reveal his secret, he finally shared with me the method of his feat.  He then snatched the cash, and in an instant, vanished into the jungle.

True to my word, I have NEVER revealed to another how the feat is done.  I filmed myself performing the feat, and if you click the link below, you will see me do it.  This is absolutely on the level.  There is NO trick photography, no editing, no trickery what-so-ever.  It is absolutely real.

I can do this at will now, I have had a lot of practice.  It comes in handy sometimes, when I really want to impress the HELL out of people, at parties and such.  They always assume it is some kind of trick, and I don't bother to tell them otherwise - that it is absolutely real.  They wouldn't believe me anyway, and besides, I'm a little frightened of the curse the Indian told me would befall me if I ever revealed the method of this fantastic feat.
